The Prudential Helping Hearts Program provides monetary grants to help voluntary emergency medical services (EMS) squads purchase automated external defibrillators (AEDs). From 1994 through 1999, the program committed more than $4.5 million to nearly 2,500 EMS squads nationwide.

A maximum of $250,000 will be awarded. Applications are available through the Prudential Helping Hearts Program, 751 Broad Street, 16th Floor, Newark, NJ 07102-3777, and are due by April 30, 2001.
